Dole, Chiquita et Del Monte ont fait des paiements réguliers aux paramilitaires de Colombie. Ces paiements étaient perçus comme «taxes de guerre» et pour effectuer des activités anti-syndicales (c’est-à-dire, assassinats et intimidations des employés).

Le plan des ÉU pour miner le Hamas
23 07 2007La presse Jordanienne a révélé un le plan d’action des ÉU (conjointement avec Israël, la Jordanie et l’Égypte) pour la Palestine détaillant comment ils entendaient miner le Hamas en appuyant économiquement les programmes sociaux du Fatah tout en coupant tous les fonds au Hamas (pour augmenter la popularité du Fatah). Israël doit aussi, selon ce plan, négocier la levée de barrages routiers avec le Fatah afin de lui redonner une crédibilité. Les ÉU voulaient aussi armer le Fatah pour qu’il puisse attaquer le Hamas. En fait, le plan donne de l’aide au Fatah conditionnellement à ce que ce dernier s’attaque au Hamas, parti élu démocratiquement aux dernières élections législatives.
